Bukhara Noble: the sacred pillar of Asia. This legendary city on the Great Silk Road is unique in Central Asia, home to nearly 2,000 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You can still feel its ancient atmosphere when walking through the streets of the old town. Tours begin with the Samanid Mausoleum (9th-10th century), Chasma Ayub Holy Spring and Mausoleum (14th century), also known as “Holy Job’s Spring”, a holy site believed to have been visited by the Prophet Job; the Bolo-Hauz Mosque (19th century, external visit); and the Ark Citadel (5th-19th century), the oldest structure in the city and residence of the emirs of Bukhara. Lunch at a local restaurant. We continue the visits in Bukhara with the Lyabi Hauz Architectural Complex (16th-17th centuries), the heart of the city that includes the Kukeldash Madrasah (exterior visit) and the Nodir Devon Begi Madrasah, built around the largest pond in the city. We continue with the oldest mosque in Bukhara, the Magoki Attory Mosque (12th century, exterior visit). Then, we tour the Three Markets, a 16th-century complex of domes known as the First (Toki-Sarrafon), Second (Toki-Telpakfurushon) and Third (Toki-Zargaron) Domes, which housed numerous galleries for trade and craft workshops. On the way, we visit the Ulugbek Madrasah (15th century, exterior visit) and the Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasah (17th century, exterior visit). We conclude our visits in the most emblematic square of Bukhara: the Poi-Kayan Architectural Complex, where the Kalyan Minaret is located, which represents the history of Bukhara from the XI-XII centuries, the Poi Kalyan Mosque (XII century), one of the largest in Central Asia, and the Miri Arab Madrasa (15th century, external visit).
