A 6-day trip to discover all the natural wonders of the pure winter of Finnish Lapland with everything included and Spanish accompanying guide. We have created this trip with a single objective: to discover its natural beauty in winter away from the crowds and regular tourism to the region. That’s why we will stay in a typical Finnish wooden cabin away from noise and light pollution near a frozen lake where we can observe the northern lights in all their splendor.
We tour the magical snowy forests on snowshoes and snowmobiles. Among other activities, we will visit reindeer farms, fish in frozen lakes and eat typical Finnish food to learn about its culture first-hand.
The cabin where we will stay has all the comforts including a Finnish sauna.
Day 1
Upon arrival at Kuusamo airport, a driver will pick you up and private transfer to the cabin where we will stay. Depending on the time of arrival, you can do some additional activity, or enjoy the relaxation of the cabin and its sauna. Dinner in the cabin and then we will go out on snowshoes to look for the first northern lights.
Day 2
After a good breakfast in the cabin, we will leave for the Oulanka National Park where we will explore its forests and trails until we reach a shelter where our local guides will prepare food over a wood fire. Return to our cabin with enough time for a sauna and shower before dinner. At night we will enjoy the auroras.
Day 3
After breakfast we will go out to practice one of the most typical activities in all of Lapland, fishing in frozen lakes. Next we will go to a family reindeer farm where the third generation raises reindeer and owns a craft workshop. We will eat local gastronomy products in a Finnish Kota. Dinner in the cabin.
Day 4
After breakfast we will go out to explore the snow-covered forests and lakes on the quintessential means of transportation in Lapland in winter, the snowmobile. We will have 1 motorcycle for every 2 people and we will eat on the route. Dinner in the cabin.
Day 5
After breakfast we will go out to explore the Riisitunturi National Park, a magical forest where the trees create very beautiful ice formations, the tikky. Food in the park prepared by our guides with regional dishes. Dinner in the cabin.
Day 6
Breakfast in the cabin and farewell… Depending on the time of return of your flight, you can do some extra activity or simply rest and relax in the cabin and internalize everything you experienced before the transfer to Kuusamo airport.
